"She is very down to earth, describing her struggles in real life situations lived by parents of kids with special needs. It offers hope to those who choose to trust in God’s Word as the Truth. I am a mother of an adult kid with an autism diagnostic. It helped me to continue believe that God can heal him completely. It renewed my faith. • I had known about this story from seeing a 20 minute video on the McDermott boys previously and was inspired by their story so I knew I wanted to read this book when I heard Deborah had written about their healing journey.
I enjoyed the unique way she told the story as it all unfolded. You can see how God was walking her through her darkest days.
What I admire the most about her faith is how she never accepted the diagnosis of Autism. We have to stand against these attacks and know more about what God says about these things than what man does.
While we appreciate the medical field, I have to agree with God that we don't allow facts to override His Truth.
Faith is never appropriated in the natural realm. We serve a very Big God and this story proves His unwavering love for us.
Since He is no respecter of persons, what He did for them, He has provided for all that Believe and seek Him. Thank you Deborah for sharing this testimony and for bringing hope to others struggling with this hideous label of Autism. When we don't want to be a victim of something, we should not take on a victim's mentality. Jesus took that for us at the cross so we don't have to bear it too. To God goes all the Glory. • I was thrilled to hear Deborah was writing this book some months ago because I've enjoyed listening to her interviews and the sharing she has done through Andrew Wommack's ministry and others about how her sons were both healed from autism! Reading this book, I felt for her sons who were experiencing hell on earth, but also for dear Deborah who was nearly pulled under herself and her husband too in the fears and day-to-day exhaustion of being a caregiver of two autistic boys. But I love this woman's tenacity because she did not quit and she did not give up, and because of it, she and her family experienced miraculous VICTORY! Deborah is a woman of courage! I finished reading the book more than a week ago, but keep thinking about many of the important points Deborah shared in this book. It's growing my own faith and encouraging me too. God is so good and what He did through Deborah's faith for this family, He can do for me and mine! The only thing I didn't like was the closing The End. Quite the contrary as it seems that life is blossoming into so many blessings that must have seemed like an unimaginable dream to them not so many years ago. I can't wait to hear about the next chapter as they step into more great blessings of God along the way! He's restoring the years the locusts ate!
  • I received this book Sunday afternoon and read the entire book within 24 hrs. I loved every part of it. If you struggle in any area, as I do, believing God for your healing, you will be glad you ordered this book. It has renewed my faith and hope. Deborah McDermott did an amazing job describing her journey in believing God for the healing of her beloved family. Truly an inspiration. I highly recommend this book.
  • Read this book if you believe that God is true to His Word. Read this book if you are a parent struggling with autism. Read this book if you are looking for hope! Read this book if you want to hear nearly too good to be true news!!!!
