In Six Hours One Friday, Max Lucado delves into the meaning of Jesus' last hours on the cross. Through His death, your life has purpose and meaning. You are forgiven and loved by a Savior who died for you. And an empty tomb proclaims that death does not have the final word.
Does life feel futile? Doesn't have to.
Do some of your failures seem fatal? They aren't.
And your death. Does the grave appear to be the final stop? According to Christ, your death is just the start of the something great.
There is a truth greater than all the losses and sorrows of life. And it can be discovered in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

"Peace where there should be pain. Confidence in the midst of crisis. Hope defying despair. Does death have the last word? I can see Jesus wink as he gives the answer, Not on your life."

"Max Lucado is a very gifted spiritual writer; and this book was the first I read of his years ago. I bought this copy for a cousin who wanted to read something spiritual, but not dogmatic, for Lent. Lucado takes the events of Good Friday and Christ's earthly ministry and applies them to the every day challenges of our lives. Interspersed are lives of saints - both canonized and popularly accepted - that reflect the common fact that we are all challenged to live lives of truth and grace. He often brings me to tears with his comments and statements; but that's as it ought to be because his words touch our hearts and change them in so many positive and inspiring ways. If you have not read Max Lucado, you are missing something that ought NOT be missed."

- This book is amazing. I found it hard to put down. I could feel the emotions of each character. I found myself questioning how would respond to Christ in each situation. As an older person and having been a Christian for many years, I have no fear of death. It is a comfort to know my family and I will be reunited and all bowing at the feet of Christ our savior.
- I love the way Max Lucado lays out all the emotions that move your heart. There were times that I cried so much I couldn't read because I could actually feel myself in the book and overpowered by the pain of sadness. This book is about the last 6 hours of Jesus's life. Lucado's skill of making each page reflect your life in the present is amazing even though he is writing about the past. It is an easy read but emotional draining at times. After reading this book you can really feel a closer understanding of exactly how much Jesus loved us. To endure what he did to save us from sin only causes you to love him more with a deeper gratitude. I think this is my favorite book ever and the lessons at the end of the book, relating to each chapter are perfect for discussions.

- Given to me by a virtual stranger, I was pulled into every word that was written. Each chapter has its own story and opened my mind and heart. At a point in my life where I needed to find out what was missing, this book made me wake up. What was missing was my relationship with the dear Lord. This book was powerful. So thankful and now know God had a plan for me.....it came through this stranger.
- The book was used but in excellent condition and serves the purpose for the study group I am involved in. The ordering was easy, the delivery as stated it would be, and I have no complaints.
- Typical excellent book by Max Lucado. He is such a gifted writer. I read everything I can lay my hands on that he has written.
- I sent this to my daughter in law.... She is going thru many Friday's right now, fighting bone cancer, but I told her Sunday is coming. Max Lucado is a great author.... encouraging and in the moment... great book...
- I have found myself drawn to the books of Max Lucado this Easter weekend. This is the third one that I have read in two days. I was drawn to it by its title and this book didn't disappoint me. It gave a detailed description of what it must have been like in those last Six Hours for Jesus Christ. In the author's form he talks about forgiveness and what to do when your life goes awry. I am going to read this book again and I hope that I never forget it's message.
