"I love this book. As someone with a ridiculous collection of plant based books I have seen it all both good and bad; this is a great book filled with amazing recipes and stunning photography!
Perhaps my reason for loving this stems from one recipe in particular - dreamy Turkish Delight coconut porridge. Turkish delight is one of my fave sweet treats ever so to have it incorporated into a heathy breakfast is sheer genius!
The premise of this book stems from the authors trip off the Tasmanian Coastline when meals were prepared simply over a small stove - and hence this is another thing I love - it’s based on simple, easy to prepare dishes and not full of weird, hard to find ingredients or strange cooking techniques
There are 8 main chapters - Brekkie, Bowls, Salads, Mains, Share, Sweet, Drinks, Basics! The recipes are refreshingly new and also generally lighter fare that I prefer to eat! Also full of creativity such as a smoothie bowl made out or purple potato or sweet potato probiotic ice cream!
I love all the Buddha bowl type recipes and the rhubarb crumble takes me back to my childhood albeit with a healthier take! There are some great staples done on a plant based fashion - Aioli, cashew Parmesan and white bean pesto! The oaty seed loaf is delicious and a very simple thing to make - loaded with healthy fiber too! Those with a sweet tooth will find a plethora of desserts that please and as a Kombucha fan I loved those mocktails!
It’s rare you find a book with this many amazing and interesting plant based recipes yet it’s so simple and easy to do. Love this book!"
