• First things first - if you've got a Ranger character, your gaming will be tons more fun if you pick up a copy of this supplement. When I was playing a Ranger as my primary character, I found this book reinvigorated my whole gaming experience, as it adds lots of new information, background, skills, info about weapons, you name it. In fact, I ended up buying a few more of the books in this series, and they are all really quite informative and fun. I recommend this book for anyone playing a Ranger, or thinking of playing one (in the latter case, only if you can find this at a reasonable price - when I bought mine in 2005, it was apparently at time when there just weren't many copies floating around, so I remember paying something like $50 or $60 for it. But, I still have it, and I have been thinking of creating a new character with this book. Definitely worth picking up!
• We were amazed and overjoyed to discover that we were able to purchase through an "ORIGINAL" edition of "The Complete Ranger's Handbook (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, 2nd Edition, Player's Handbook Rules Supplement/PHBR11). This was a gift for a good friend who had lost his original version of this handbook. He very much desired to replace his lost version of the handbook. He was overjoyed when we presented him an "original" edition of the out of print handbook. He could not believe we had been able to find this handbook for him! We were very pleased to acquire the edition through !
• A decade or two ago, I bought a copy of this softcover for the use of my game group. Now I've purchased a copy for my sons game group. If you play AD&D (First Edition), this add-on manual will add buckets of realism and detail to an otherwise already-terrific game. There's a lot of in-depth examination of the Art Of Being A Ranger, complete with all the accompanying tables & stats. Well put together, too.
• Very good book, very impressed.
• Back when I played all the time, Rangers were always my favorite character. This book is useful and has some nice inventory options that my GM allowed without question.
• Book was a little worn, but totally readable.
• If you play a Ranger, than this book is a MUST have! Everything you need to know about Rangers and then some is packed into this great TSR book!!!!!!!!!!
• Great book to add to the collection. Lots of new ideas for specializing your Ranger character.
