Listen Learn Love How to Dramatically Improve Your Relationships in 30 Days or Less! Susie Albert Miller 9781939447746 Books Reviews

  • The book is poorly written. The grammar is incorrect throughout, making reading a painful experience. The content is summed up in the title, with endless padding. Better to read How to Win Friends and Influence People if you want to develop relational techniques. If you want to learn how to love, read I Corinthians 13 and pray.
  • It was a very direct and well written book. I learned many new techniques and crucial changes in my mindset. I even had several Aha moments. while the book laid out a plan for you to improve relationships I wished there were more suggestions and guidance on suggesting how to impart this knowledge to the other people in the relationship.
  • The first few pages will have you engaged.
  • Loved, Loved, Loved this book. Susie offers practical advice, stories and real life example how to apply her ideas of listen, learn and love. I was able to apply her ideas immediately at home and work. I strongly encourage you to buy it read it today.
  • I bet you have at least one relationship in need of a fine-tuning or even a good ole fashioned overhaul. Yes?

    We all do.

Tired of hearing everyone’s opinion on the best way to improve your relationships? Well, Listen, Learn, Love is full of great advice by Better Relationship Coach, Susie Albert Miller. Who better qualified to give us guidance than a qualified counselor who’s not only lived through tough situations, but has had years of experience helping others.

I loved the three avatars the author uses to explain the fundamentals for any relationship to work.

    • Conch shell for Listen
    • Glasses for Learn
    • Heart for Love

    Simple but effective.

Ms. Miller goes on to explain how we can hear when we listen (you’d be surprised how often we don’t really hear!), how we can learn well, and love deeper.

This book is well written and easy to read. I liked her tips for each skill, the examples she shares to help explain the meaning of them, and the exercises. She also uses her own real life experiences, keeping it authentic and practical to the reader. She’s been down the road and knows what she’s talking about.

    That’s real application.

The quotes at the beginning of each chapter added an extra special touch. The author also invites us to join her community and share our stories at ListenLearnLoveCommunity.com.

It all sounds too simple, doesn’t it? Perhaps that’s because we’ve made our relationships so complicated. This is a small book packed with a big punch! It will help us pass Relationships 101 and move us deeper into our bonds with spouses, family, friends, and even our co-workers.

I give Listen, Learn, Love four stars.

Pick up a copy, sit on Ms. Miller’s virtual couch, and share your heart. You won’t be disappointed!

  • Raise your hand if relationships are effortless for you.

You didn’t raise your hand? Me neither.

If relationships are a source of frustration at times, there’s a book for that.

“Listen, Learn, Love How to Dramatically Improve Your Relationships In 30 Days or Less” is a new book by Susie Albert Miller, also known as The Better Relationship Coach. Dunham Books is the publisher.

The author lays out her advice in an easy-to-read way and offers practical tips to practice relationship-building, such as pause and pay attention during a conversation. “Stop thinking about what you want to say in response,” she writes.

Miller offers three simple skills to create better relationships in personal and professional arenas.

“Susie reminds us that relationships are the stuff of life, and in the end they are all that really matter, ” David Dunham, publisher of Dunham Books, said in a statement.

Miller tackles such relationship issues as marriage (don’t be roommates any longer); teens; friends (how to make deeper connections); and family (how to get along at reunions).

She says, “For all our investments in career training, gym memberships, or financial futures, we often forget to invest in the most important and influential things in our lives relationships. If relationships are the stuff of life, why are we rarely, if ever, taught how to create quality ones?”

“God has used the experiences, struggles, and difficulties as well as the joys, blessings and most of all, the people in my life, to grow me, teach me and train me about relationships,” Miller says. “At times my journey was confusing, unsettling, and incredibly painful. But, I firmly believe that God is good —life and relationships can be rich and rewarding even in the midst of difficult times.”

The three symbols that Miller uses to stick with the reader are the conch shell for listen, glasses for learning others, and the heart for love.

For example, by “learning others,” Miller means getting to know a person and forming a deeper connection. “Isn’t it heartwarming when your friend brings you a cup of coffee just the way you like it?,” she writes. “You realize she paid attention to your likes, dislikes, preferences.”
