• After reading Erin’s first book, “Cheers to the Diaper Years”, I couldn’t wait for this book to hit the shelves! This is the perfect book for an engaging Bible study with girlfriends! I love that we read about these remarkable ladies from the Bible and realize that we can see ourselves in each one! Erin has so much scripture aligned with her descriptions and suggestions that it makes this book so practical for each of us. It’s not what the author thinks we should do, but rather what the Word of God says! One Biblical truth after another that we can grab a hold of! I love that Erin has 3 different lessons, along with action steps for us to take, for each of these remarkable ladies that she spotlights. You won’t want to put this book down!
• Erin has made Bible study fun by providing an entertaining and insightful perspective of these women in the Bible. I love her voice! When I read anything she writes, I feel like we are just sitting on her couch hanging out as friends. She has a way of connecting with the reader that brings me back for more. This book is perfect for either a ladies small group or personal Bible study. I'm already so excited for season two of the housewives!!
• Easy to read and follow along the stories of the women of the bible! Very encouraging! Written from the women of the bible's perspectives makes it very fun and easy to read!

  All too often women who are essentially merely housewives live a mundane existence tending to the myriad of needs of their respective families. Their escapism is that of watching television with its collection of melodramatic soaps and other so-called reality programs. While this might be the predominant situation for housewives of today, they need to remember the fascinating stories the Bible had given to read as a child. These same stories today are capable of giving readers far more reaching and thought-provoking implications than they did back then.
  
  In her book the author, Erin Brown Hollis, introduces her readers to Eve, Delilah, Hannah, Martha, and Ruth, in a manner they’ve never been known before. The Lord had given these women divine tasks, which they’d succeeded in carrying out, and which Ms. Hollis wants her readers to get to know better and a little more inimitably.
  
  One thought which crept up in my mind as I read this book can be found in Proverbs 124 [ESV]
  
  An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.
  
  For having given her readers an inspirational reading experience about five of the women in the bible, I’ve given Ms. Hollis 5 STARS.

  My Rationalization.....
  
  I enjoyed the read by this author as she introduced us to Eve, Delilah, Hannah, Martha and Ruth in which we find that they had been given a divine task to carry out. This author delivered her stories to the reader in such a 'conversational and witty way' that will definitely keep your attention to that particular character. I would definitely agree that this novel would be a wonderful choice for any 'group study.' This read is one that is unique and even quite entertaining as one can learn and group from these women's perspective of the Bible. I love how this author's descriptions will even make one feel like there are in 'Bible times having conversations with these delightful women' as each character being drawn it seems to come alive and even is so relatable to us today in our world.
  
  So, if you are looking for an interesting, fun, educating, encouraging, and even touches of humor read you have come to the right place for "The Remarkable Housewives of the Bible" will give it all to you and more.
• Oh my goodness, Erin Hollis has put the fun back into Bible study with "Remarkable Housewives!" This book would be an excellent choice for a group study or several of the chapters could be read through and make for some great conversation starters during a weekend getaway with your girlfriends. I love how Erin wrote the chapters in her conversational and witty way and from the perspective of the biblical housewife herself. This helped to keep my attention and was a creative way to help me to see that these ancient sisters of ours really did face some of the same drama we experience today, making the biblical wisdom in this book applicable and encouraging! As far as homework there are only 3 readings for each week and helpful action steps that women of all ages can think through and discuss. Most studies I've done try to prevent drama, but this study is for those of us who find ourselves in the midst of drama anyways and who desire to find our way out of it! God desires for all of His daughters, then and now, to have hearts devoted to Him instead of distracted by all the drama. This study will help the hearts of you and your girlfriends do just that!
