• W O W - this is exactly what I needed! This book is a must if you are a female founder. It gives multiple stories and insights from various founders, investors and more that support women. I highlighted half the book because of all the learnings and takeaways that have changed the way I approach my company, fundraising and networking. Huge applause to Jenn LeBlanc and all the contributors who told it like it is.. and like it can be for all on this journey.
• I believe women have an advanatage when it comes to business because we have “women’s intuition” on our side. This book ties in the well with the author’s previous book Launching For Revenue, but sheds light on the fact that female lead companies have historically done better, with higher ROIs, yet are not getting the attention they deserve when it comes to funding. Aspiring female entrepreneurs, this book is for you if you’re looking for tips and real world advice on how to find opportunities for funding, how to conduct yourself and be comfortable as a female founder in a male dominated industry and how to build a support system conducive to a successful life/career.
• From the title through the end of the book, Changing Tides inspired me and gave me permission to say how challenging being an entrepreneur and, specifically a woman entrepreneur, can be. I loved how each author provided a view from the lens they've experienced over the years. I nodded my head multiple times and sighed more than once as I saw, in plain language, that my experiences were not just mine. Changing Tides is an easy and enjoyable read. I've marked up pages and am sure I will return to it time and time again for guidance, inspiration, reassurance and reality check.
