No thank you - Very inspirational I keep going back and reading this again and again.
- I received a KINDLE copy of this book through a giveaway on LibraryThing [dot] com and the following is my honest opinion.
If you’ve ever heard the saying of a picture being word a thousand words than you can easily see what Ms. Rupp has done here with the carefully selected quotes from famous people.
When I first opened this book on the KINDLE App on my computer I fell into the trap of merely reading what I saw in front of me. However, this book needs to read extremely slow to capture the beauty of both the pictures and the quotes attached to them. To further enhance my reading experience I changed the setting so I could view two pages, allowing me to view the full picture and all the words at once; followed by going to the full screen viewing.
To fully appreciate this book to its utmost you need to read each quote the author has selected for each picture separately, close your eyes and then meditate briefly on the words you’ve just read. The carefully selected quotes are quite vivid and almost awe inspiring in communicating the message of hope.
It is for this reason I’m giving this book 5 STARS. - This book is dazzling. Every page contains a lovely picture and uplifting quotes about hope. This book everyone should own. Why might you ask? Every individual on this planet is in need of hope. There will be a quote that will have a positive influence on you. One of the great things is the quotes are by people of all types from all around the world and multiple eras. Quotes are from authors, theologists, philosophers, leaders, chemists and many more. Here are a few people that I found intriguing in the book Tom Bodett, you know him, "I'm Tom Bodett for Motel 6, and we'll leave the lights on for you"; Emma Goodman an anarchist known for her political activism; Madeleine L'Engle, who wrote A Wrinkle in Time; Napoleon; Earvin "Magic" Johnson; and also Robert H. Goddard, who built the world's 1st liquid-fueled rocket. The book is broken down into sections for example happiness, optimism, purpose, etc. Hope Quotes is the kind of book that you need in paperback. It is so stunning to the eye an e-reader would not do this book justice. It is the perfect gift to give any person of any age. In the beginning, it contains an excellent area to write to whom you are gifting the book and an area to place your name also. I would recommend this book to anyone. Everybody needs some hope in their life.
"Thank you, Gabi Rupp, for letting me give an honest review." - I absolutely love Gabi Pupp's Inspirational books! The photos and pictures are breathtaking. I enjoy just looking at the photos, imagining what the people or animals are doing or thinking. The scenery is amazing. The main color of the page is evident and aids in giving the inspirational quotes more emphasis. For example page 18 is purple. The title of the page is Don't Give Up! Purple to me signifies my life with Systemic Lupus. My daily struggles, my accomplishments. On this powerful page, Samuel Johnson quotes "Hope is necessary in every condition." Those words are so powerful and hold such meaning to me. I need to take each obstacle in my life and conquer it with hope.
I enjoyed reading the titles, which are so purposefully placed and angled. The font and sizes are so powerful in and of itself. Page 24 has a photo of a scruffy little kitten, all disheveled and overwhelmed in his gigantic world. At the bottom of the page is one word, Fear. I enjoy taking a page and just devoting my mind to the positives this book has to offer. Remember, if you put good things in, good things will come out.
I highly recommend reading Hope Quotes! I would also recommend giving a good friend or family member a gift of Inspirational Picture Quotes. This is not a book to be read and thrown on the bookshelf, rather take each quote and let the inspiration take over. I love just writing little quotes/verses on stick it paper and hang them up. This is a book that can remain open day after day! - Another beautiful book from the Inspirational Picture Quotes series that searches the usually hard to explain concept of hope. Along with bright hopeful pictures that will stir at your heart, Hope is a book that you may not carry with you always but the quotes will always be within reach of your heart.
Out of all the pictures in the books this is one that the pictures seem to match more compatibly than the others. The colors are bright and pleasing with the exception of one, which is Despair. The latter section is one that the dark dour colors seem to leaden your emotions after such uplifting quotes and then after its two dedicated pages you are whisked off into a more lighter tone.
And Hope like its fellow books allows you to explore the ideas that the concept is necessary for such as love, children, happiness, dreams, etc. And to balance the heavier thoughts it reminds you of hope's part in the world such as giving you purpose, wisdom and comfort while battling despair, which is its darker cousin.
Truly a great little book to read over at least once....
**Please note; I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review**
