"Reading the whole Book, with great enjoyment !!!
As all the other Time Travel Romance Books Lynn Kurland writes, this one was just as entertaining as all the rest of her Time Travel Romance Adventure she writes. A wonderful boon to read these Books is a good and clean Romance which I truly enjoyed."

One Magic Moment de Piaget Family Lynn Kurland 9780515149517 Books Reviews

  • As teens in When I Fall in Love, John and his twin Montgomery were delightful, adorable, inquisitive lads. John was so reserved here, and despite his and Tess’s insistence that they didn’t lie to each other, they did, over and over again. I honestly don’t see how they fell in love, they were too standoffish with each other.
Really, the only interesting scene in their modern setting was when Stephen de Piaget moved his briefcase so that John (who was just short of rude) could sit down. And speaking of that, LK needs to stop with the constantly overused line, he/she just might have to sit down. Please.
  • Ms. Kurland,

In the future when you release one of your books, which I always enjoy, always snatch up the moment I see, and always put on my keeper shelf, could you please, please, please release it about say, 830p.m. on a Friday night? The boys were almost late to school because I was reading at the breakfast table, I accidentally took a longer lunch than I intended, because this book was WAY more enthralling than the spreadsheets I needed to get back to, my neices almost didn't get picked up from dance like I promised my sister, and I ended up ordering pizza, so I wouldn't have to put the book down to cook. If it had been released in the evening, per my request, I could have just stayed up half the night reading it, instead of risking calamity and ignoring my kids. oP

    Sincerely,

    C. Burch

Loved the book - I like slightly taciturn heroes who can make the heroines melt (probably because my husband is a bit of a smart aleck and John reminded me of him at points), I loved the interweaving of the previous stories and family members, and I really liked that the smart girl got the guy! I will be re-reading this one soon, because I ate it up so quickly I'm sure I missed something. Thanks for the great read!
  • I have throughly enjoyed all of Ms. Kurlands books. I love how all the stories are interconnected. The characters seem almost real and no matter which book you're reading their behavior is the same. Well written and well edited! Thank you for creating a wonderful world to escape to!

  • Oh John, I was waiting to read his story since I knew he was lost in time. I love the cover of this book and it's a very good story. I liked John and Tess together. And see again Montgomery and Pippa, Gwen and Rhys, Robin, Nicholas, Kendrick, Miles... well, I love seeing the de Piaget boys again )

And John is a such a skilled musician... I can't help falling in love a little with him just for that (not the HUGE crush that I had had for Montgomery, of course).
  • I have all of Lynn Kurland’s books that I can find. I love the romance, the humor and the charm of the stories. This book is no exception. Thanks Ms Kurland.
  • This was a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed and was very pleased that John de Piaget was given a good story, unlike his twin's, Montgomery's(One Enchanted Evening) with a good plot. The reunion he had with his family was heart tugging and quite something I would have expected. It was nice to see him bantering with his brothers after 8 years of being presumed dead. I felt the chemistry between him and Tess Alexander from the start and was very happy they decided to come back to the modern world because of their own preference.
  • I've been a long time fan of Lynn Kurland. Some books just pop out at me and I remember them for years to come, but sadly this was not one of them. I really wanted to like the book and even liked the set up from the beginning, but the characters just never grabbed me. I think one of the issues I had was the writing style. As I read more and more, I find what I like and what works for me. One thing that I noticed in this book was the repetition of a few words like "gravely" or "grave" to describe the main character's attitude. I have also become less of a fan of over using adverbs, especially as dialogue tags...for example "he said gravely" Most of the time they arn't needed and it seemed to take a little away from the characters this time around. I know Kurland uses this style with all her books, but usually I just read past it because everything else is just working for me that I don't care about the small stuff. This time though it bugged me.

I love Kurland especially some of her earlier works. If you are new to her books and want to give her a try I suggest trying

    A Dance Through Time
    This Is All I Ask
    Another Chance To Dream
    The More I See You
    If I Had You
    The Very Thought of You
    A Garden In the Rain

She has proven to be a phenomenal storyteller and I wont forget that she has the power to make me fall in love with the characters, just this story it didn't happen for me. Every reader is different though.

Overall, I think I would not give up on her future books. Sometimes a book in a series will not do it for me and then the very next one is a complete winner. I'm going to hope that the next book comes though and is a win.
